Chess Improvement

~ Eu Hong’s Road to Chess Improvement ~

PFS Open TMR

9 more hours before the start of the year 2008 edition of Penang Free School Open chess tournament. The online registration list at Chess.EuHong.NET has me as the highest rated player. Where is Khai Boon? Does he forget to register? I am not supposed to be the top seed as I am too lousy to be one and lately I had been involved with activities other than chess. My aim of now is to just enjoy playing some chess. :D

Let’s hope I will not be the top seed later.

100 tries daily - continue…

A planned was created previously to make 100 tries daily before major tournaments start for year 2008. However a hobby player like me will have difficulty to concentrate too much on chess. Well, I tried my best but until now, it is always around 3-5 hundreds of tries weekly. :(

Inconsistent tournament play

Still suffering from inconsistent performance during tournament as in the UniKL tournament yesterday. Hmm.. 7/9 was not enough to finished top10.. the 2 loses were resulted from  self-committed error…

How to improve???

100 tries daily

The objective is to get myself used to tactics before next major tournament. 100 tries of not too difficult tactics at Chess Tactics Server should do the job.
