Carlsen beat Topalov with the Black pieces!!

Round 5 of the Morelia/Linares SuperGM tournament had just concluded with the 17yo Carlsen beating Topalov with the Black pieces from Alekhine’s Defence!!

New Rating Lists

Tomorrow is will be the first day of October which means FIDE and MCF will publish their latest rating list. Hopefully we will then get more FIDE rated players for our country this period.

Khai Boon beat IM Tirto!!

Have not get the chance to see the official result but I heard Khai Boon managed to beat IM Tirto (2418) from Indonesia after Tirto tried too hard to win the game.

FIDE July07 Rating List

FIDE had published the July07 rating list. Apparently National Closed 07 was not rated in this rating period so there are no changes to my FIDE rating. I am still stuck at 2043 elo.
