Some updates about events and tournaments in Penang:
Penang Chess League (13,14 Dec):
Online Registration || Registered Teams
- Team Composition: Open teams can consist of any players as long as the 3 players playing in any round must not exceed 1900 National rating.
- 1900 rating cap: Restriction: The average players rating (MCF Chess Rating) during play should be less than 1900.
Note: The MCF Chess Rating is approximately 250 points below FIDE elo rating. Player is allowed to register using MCF rating or FIDE rating minus 250 points whichever is lower. e.g.
Player 1, FIDE 2500: 2250 (2500-250)
Player 2, National rating: 1800
Player 3, National rating: 1600
Average = 1883
PISA Chess Simul (21 Dec)
