Busy July
July is a busy chess month for me where I am involved directly or indirectly with 4 chess tournaments on 4 consecutive Sundays.
1st July: Penang Age Group Chess Championship 2007. I am way overage to play in the event as it was meant for those U16 only but I was there to help out…
8th July: Penang Closed Chess Championship 2007, Day 1. The objective of the event is to select Penang teams for the coming Merdeka Team Championship. There are high chances that I will not be able to go for the Merdeka event even if I finished top 3 because of annual leave issue.
15th July: 3rd CRC Taiping Chess Tournament. Never played in any chess tournament in Taiping before and Taiping is only 45~60 minutes drive from my house!! So this will be my debut in Taiping.
Time control is only 20 minutes per player which will be some issue for me… Anyway, let’s enjoy the game not winning the tournament.
22th July: Penang Closed Chess Championship 2007, Day 2. Round 5, 6, 7 of Penang Closed event. There are currently less than 40 players registered (20070705 11:28 a.m.). Players not interested in playing for Penang in the Merdeka event? Interesting…
Busy life == meaningful life?! May be people will disagree on this but I am those that like to make myself busy and cannot content to live without doing anything.
Well, meaningful or not, time will tell, at least for now I prevent “Evil dwell within empty mind”…
Let’s wish everyone playing in these tournaments good luck.
